Installing the tracker for views on your website is an important step to enable analytics in Scoop.it. Additionally, if you have the Opportunities dashboard this data will allow you to know which articles would benefit the most from being shared, based on their performance stats.
By installing trackers, you will also see how your traffic improves on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
How do I find the tracker and where should I install it?
1. Install the plugin "Header and Footer" on your Wordpress backend and activate it.
2. Copy-paste the tracker from Scoop.it into the plugin.
From the Smart Calendar you can click on "tracker" below your WordPress destination:
And select/copy all the code:
Go to the settings of your WordPress, select the plugin called "Header and Footer" and paste the code after « before the </body> closing tag (footer) ».
Note 1: If you have already a jquery on your blog, remove the first line of the tracker before installing it in your site.
Note 2: If a slider on your homepage or another part of your website looks broken after you add the tracker, this means that you have already a jquery on your blog. To solve the problem delete the first line from the tracker code on your website.
