At Scoop.it, we believe that you deserve better than an excel spreadsheet to keep your content organized. We believe you deserve a more sophisticated structure that allows you to track your efforts over time and easily adjust them at any time.
So we’ve listened to our customers’ feedback and decided to push strategy to a higher level by developing our Content Strategy module.
Here are the steps to get started with the module:
1. Define your personas
Your personas are fictional representations of your customers. Here is an article we created on how persona mapping can improve your content marketing strategy.
2. Define your interests
The "interests" section refers to the different topics you want to blog about. You can add as many as you want, assign a specific color and add a description.
3. Define your funnel stages
Prospects are not all equal. Depending on their maturity level, they have different questions. It is important you take into account those stages to map your content accordingly.
4. Tag your existing content
Now it's time to add interest/funnel stage/persona tags to your older pieces of content.
You can of course add these tags directly when creating a piece of content, on the right of the editing window.
5. Define your content plan
Here it is! With this overall view of your content plan, you can keep track of your posts and make sure you’re consistently producing content according to your goals and interests. You'll be able to see quickly if there isn't any published article or scheduled draft for a given topic, persona or funnel stage.
