The Bookmarklet is a handy feature that enables you to access the Scoop.it editing window from any website, without being logged into Content Director!
Content Director helps you automate your content discovery with Research Content, but, of course, you sometimes find good content on your own. When that happens, you can use our bookmarklet to:
1/ Create a new curated blog post based on the piece of content you found
2/ Add this piece of content to your internal content hub (Scoop.it mini-site)
3/ Share the piece of content on your social media channels
To download the bookmarklet, click on your profile picture on the top right side of your account, then click on "bookmarklet" from the drop-down menu.
When you see the following screen, grab the blue "Scoop.it!" button and drag it into your bookmark bar in your browser.
That's all you need to do! You should then see a new bookmark called "Scoop.it!"
Now, let's say you found an awesome piece of content on the web and want to use the bookmarklet for one of the three reasons above. You just have to click on it, and you'll see the Scoop.it editing window:
You can then use the editing window as you would normally do. Make sure to click on "Share" at the top of the window if you just want to share on social media!
Note 1: Your bookmarklet is specific to your Content Director account. If you previously had a Business, Pro or Free account, your old bookmarklet won't work with Content Director.
Note 2: If you have different Content Director workspaces, you'll need to install one bookmarklet per workspace. You'll be able to easily rename each one in your browser to avoid mixing them up!
